A free alternative to Spordle
Spordle is what a federation runs its registry and gamesheets on, so if your hockey association must use it, keep it. For everything outside that system, like an adult rec league, a tournament or a summer team, Rally is free: fixtures, standings, availability and calendars, set up by an AI assistant.
What Spordle is
A Quebec-based system for sport federations: a member registry, scheduling and results, websites, payments and an app. Hockey Canada and many provincial hockey bodies use it.
Price: Not published; Spordle sells to federations and associations.

Where Rally is different
- Free, for anyone: a team, a rec league or a tournament, no federation needed.
- Players mark the games they can't make and the manager sees the whole season in one table.
- An AI assistant builds the schedule from a sentence or a PDF.
- Calendar feeds for every team.
Where Spordle is better
- One registry for a whole federation: players, coaches and officials, with the rulebook enforced.
- Electronic game sheets, with coaches confirming their roster.
- Officials assigning and payroll.
Who should stay with Spordle
You play under a hockey body (or another federation) that requires Spordle for registration and gamesheets.
Questions
- Can I use Rally instead of Spordle?
- Not if your federation requires Spordle for registration and gamesheets. Rally suits what sits outside it: rec leagues, tournaments, spring and summer teams, or a team's own availability.
- Does Rally work for hockey?
- Yes. Pick hockey and the points start at 3 for a win, 2 for an overtime win and 1 for an overtime loss, the overtime columns appear in the table, and calendar events get a 🏒. Change any of it to your league's rules.
- How much does Spordle cost?
- Spordle doesn't publish prices; it sells to associations and federations. Rally is free.
